We’ve got some exciting news at Saks Aberdeen – our very own Chelsea and Anisa are about to embark on an incredible professional journey as they begin the L’Oreal Colour Specialist Degree! 🙌🏼
Becca and Kacy, both Principal stylists, are Saks Aberdeen’s most recent graduates, graduating in December 2023. Becca reflected on her time, saying, ‘It was one of the most challenging but rewarding times of my hairdressing career and I would do it all again in a heartbeat! It has given me the extra confidence to tackle any colour.’
Kacy said ‘It challenged me in the best way possible and has given me an experience to always look back on. Not only did I gain new skills but also the confidence to approach any colour challenge with positivity and excitement.’
What is the Colour Specialist Degree?
This isn’t just any course – it’s one of the most prestigious, comprehensive and intensive programmes for experienced hairdressers. It is considered the most advanced hair colour education in the industry, providing unparalleled specialist knowledge, and it is the ultimate goal for many stylists. Only a select few across the UK take on this intense training, and we couldn’t be prouder that two of our own are stepping up to the challenge, allowing them to join an elite network of experts who are raising professional hair colouring standards.
What does it involve?
The three month course combines extensive theoretical learning with practical, hands-on sessions. They will gain an in-depth knowledge of colour science and master various colour techniques. The course will sharpen their skill sets to tackle any colour – from consultations to product mixing and applications. They will be able to bring back their up-to-date knowledge, expertise and techniques back to the salon to share with their team members.
